Park City is located in northern Utah about 35 miles to the southeast of downtown Salt Lake City
at an elevation of about 7,000 feet. The Salt Lake City Airport (SLC) is a short 35 minute drive from Park City and is easily driven by car.
This historic mining town is now world renowned for skiing and
snowboard during the winter months. There are three major ski areas
in Park City and the Utah Olympic Parks nestled into the beautiful
Wasatch Mountains. The Wasatch Mountains provide a wonderful
backdrop to a number of winter and summer activities that are
available to people visiting Park City. As well, Park City offers a
number of acclaimed restaurants and cafés along historic Main
Street. Culture abounds in Park City with many art galleries,
museums, and special musical events. The Sundance Film Festival
is held annually in
January. Park City was voted by Forbes in 2008 as one of the top 20
“prettiest towns” in the United States. As well, Park City was

The meeting is organized by the Weather Modification Association.
The goal of the conference is to provide a venue for the
presentation of scientific research in the area of advertent and
inadvertent weather modification and to encourage the exchange of
ideas within the international weather modification community.
