Welcome to the web site of the Weather Modification
Association's (WMA) 2010 Annual Meeting to be held on 21, 22 and 23
April 2010 in Santa Fe, New Mexico, USA.
Perched high in the foothills of the southern Rocky Mountains, Santa
Fe is unparalleled in its richness of history, arts and culture.
Signature adobe architecture and old world charm combine with
culinary sophistication and a creative flair to make the city one of
the country's most fascinating destinations.
The meeting venue will be at the Inn and Spa at Loretto, Old Santa
Fe Trail, Santa Fe, New Mexico. The Santa Fe Municipal Airport (SAF)
is served by American Eagle Airlines which operates daily flights to
Dallas-Fort Worth (DFW) and Los Angeles (LAX). Santa Fe is located
an hour’s drive north of Albuquerque, the state’s largest city and
major air gateway. The Albuquerque International Sunport (ABQ) is
serviced by all of the major U.S. airlines. Flying into Albuquerque
and renting a car is the most popular way of traveling around New
Mexico.
The meeting is organized by the Weather Modification Association.
The goal of the conference is to provide a venue for the
presentation of scientific research in the area of advertent and
inadvertent weather modification and to encourage the exchange of
ideas within the international weather modification community.
The conference call for papers is now open and will close March 15,
2010.
Mark your calendars now and plan to extend your stay to see all the
local sites. Watch our web site for future updates and an up-to-date
agenda.
We look forward to seeing you in Santa Fe!
